MAOAM Megatown

The response to our MAOAM Music Mixer Tour last year was fantastic, and we had lots of feedback from MAOAM’s 600,000+ Facebook fans asking for our live team to visit their home towns to spread a little MAOAM madness.

With our colleagues at Crab, we created a campaign that allowed MAOAM’s fans to tell us why their home towns and cities should become the “MAOAM Megatown”.  From over 300 entries, four candidates were chosen and put to the public vote – with our hopefuls creating content to help secure the win!

Andrew Ashworth, a 17-year old from Bishopbriggs, near Glasgow, was the winner. As well as an iPad and spending money prizes for himself, Andrew’s amazing efforts meant we threw a MAOAM party for Bishopbriggs – with our sampling team handing out free MAOAM on the streets, and bringing a fantastic “Spider-Mountain” climbing challenge to a community biking festival that Andrew was involved with.

We generated over 52,000 new Facebook fans during the period of Megatown, as well as sampling over 18,000 sweets to Bishopbriggs over one weekend of celebration.
